Grade I C18th Flint Boundary Wall

Survey & Condition:

  •  Collapsed flint boundary wall due to ivy penetration and wind damage
  • Previous movement and a leaning section to base of wall left standing
  • Previous inappropriate repairs using cement mortars.

Schedule of Repairs:

  • Rebuild as existing on a like-for-like basis using existing bricks and matching handmade bricks all laid using lime mortars
  • Match existing bonding arrangements with attached piers to the rear elevation
  • Saddleback copings to the top
  • Additional brick buttresses to whole elevation to counteract leaning bottom section
We have a Grade II listed thatched cottage which has required varying amounts of repair and restoration over the last few years.
